Fair questions
Before you ask
Will my Google rankings survive the move?
That’s the part we’re most careful with. Every old URL gets a 301 redirect to its new home, and titles, descriptions, schema and sitemaps come across intact. Rankings usually improve after the move, because page speed and Core Web Vitals are ranking signals - and static Astro pages are dramatically faster than WordPress.
Can I still edit the site myself?
Yes. We set up an editing workflow as part of the build - a lightweight CMS with a friendly editing screen, or WordPress kept running privately as a headless editor so nothing about your writing routine changes. You lose the plugin maintenance, not the ability to edit.
How long does a conversion take?
Most sites take two to four weeks from design sign-off, depending on page count and how much design work you want. You’ll get a specific timeline with your quote.
What does it cost?

Larger sites, a store, or anything unusual we quote fixed-price after a free audit, and we tell you before you pay a cent if your site is outside the standard scope.
What if my site is bigger than 25 pages?
Send us the URL and we will audit it for free. Most WordPress sites have fewer real pages than the page count suggests, because a lot of it is archives, tags and duplicates that should not be migrated at all. If it genuinely is a bigger job, you get a fixed-price quote before anything is paid, and it is still one number with no hourly billing.
What happens after I pay?
You get a Stripe receipt immediately, and we are in touch within one business day to collect your site access and start the audit. Work begins straight away - the design pass usually lands within the first week. If the audit turns up something that puts your site outside the standard scope, we tell you and either adjust or refund, your call.
What about my WooCommerce store?
Astro is the right tool for content and marketing sites. If your WordPress site includes a WooCommerce store, we’ll recommend the right split on the audit - often an Astro site for content and speed with the store on Shopify, but we work with what fits your business.
What happens to my old site?
Nothing, until launch day. We build the new site on a staging URL alongside it, and only switch DNS once you’ve approved everything. If you ever want to roll back, the old site is still there.
