A Polaris and App Bridge interface that runs inside the Shopify admin. The merchant never leaves Shopify, and it looks like it shipped with it.

Install and authentication done to Shopify’s current spec. Session tokens, scopes and webhooks set up properly, without the shortcuts that fail review.

Admin API integration
Products, orders, customers, inventory and metafields read and written through the GraphQL Admin API. We handle the rate limits and bulk operations.

Shopify Functions
Custom discounts, checkout validation, delivery and payment customisation. The backend logic that used to need Shopify Plus scripts, built as Functions.

How we build
Native to Shopify, not fighting it
Most app problems come from building beside Shopify instead of inside it. A standalone site squeezed into an iframe. Auth held together with tape. Features that break at the next platform update. We build on Shopify’s own frameworks, so the app feels native and survives the roadmap.
AI handles the repetitive scaffolding and boilerplate. Twenty years of ecommerce judgement goes into the data model, the edge cases and the things App Store reviewers actually check.

Fair questions
Before you ask
What’s the difference between a public and a custom app?
A public app is listed on the Shopify App Store and any merchant can install it. It needs billing and has to pass Shopify’s review. A custom (private) app is built for one store and installed directly, with no listing or review. We build both. The right choice depends on whether you’re solving your own problem or selling to others, and we’ll tell you plainly which fits.
Will it really run inside the Shopify admin?
Yes. We build embedded apps with App Bridge and Polaris, so the app loads inside the admin and matches Shopify’s look and behaviour. The merchant never feels like they’ve left Shopify. Merchants expect that, and App Store review requires it.
Can the app change checkout, discounts or shipping?
Yes, through Shopify Functions: custom discounts, checkout validation, delivery and payment customisation, and more. Functions are how this backend logic works on modern Shopify, and they run on every plan, not just Plus. If your idea needs checkout UI as well, we add checkout extensions.
Can you get it onto the App Store?
Yes. For public apps we set up the Billing API, prepare the listing and take the app through Shopify’s review, which checks performance, security, embedded UX and billing behaviour. Building to that standard from day one is the difference between a smooth submission and weeks of back-and-forth.
What are the ongoing costs?
A custom app needs somewhere to run. That’s a small hosting bill, typically A$10 to A$30 a month depending on load. Your Shopify Partner account is free. There are no per-seat app fees, because it’s your app. Our involvement after launch is up to you: ad-hoc support, or a small monthly arrangement to keep it current with Shopify’s API updates.

A clear picture of what the app should do and which parts of Shopify it works with. If you already have a Partner account or a development store, good. If not, we set them up. After that it’s a scope call and the odd decision along the way. We handle the rest.
