Because a store with 40 products and a tidy spreadsheet is genuinely less work than one with 900 products and photos that need fixing. $3,500 + GST covers the express build described above. On the scope call we look at your catalogue and what you have ready, then put one fixed number in writing. That number does not move afterwards unless you ask for something new.

Then you decide, and it has cost you nothing. The scope call and the quote are free, we invoice nothing until you accept in writing, and there is no obligation either way. If the number is higher we show you which part pushed it up, usually catalogue size or product data that needs work, and you can trim the scope back to the base build or leave the extras for after launch.

Small changes inside the agreed scope are part of the job, not a variation: swapping a colour, moving a section, rewording a page. If you ask for something genuinely new, an extra feature or a paid app that needs configuring, we price it before we build it and you decide. The quoted number never changes without you agreeing to it first.

Because almost everything in a standard store build is a decision we’ve already made hundreds of times - theme structure, payment setup, shipping logic, tax settings. AI tooling speeds up the repetitive work like product imports and page scaffolding, and a senior developer makes the judgement calls. What takes months elsewhere is usually meetings, not building.

Your brand assets (logo, any colours or fonts), product information - a spreadsheet or export is perfect - product photos, and about an hour of your time for decisions. If you’re missing pieces, tell us on the scope call and we’ll work around it.

Express builds use a quality Shopify theme customised to your brand, which is the right trade-off for speed and budget - and modern themes are excellent. If you want a fully custom design or bespoke functionality, that’s a full build; we quote both and tell you honestly which one your business needs.

The build price is separate from what Shopify charges you. Expect Shopify’s own subscription (from about A$56/month), payment processing fees, and any paid apps you choose to add - we keep the app stack minimal by design. Hosting is included in Shopify. Our involvement after launch is up to you: ad-hoc support or a small monthly arrangement.

Yes, and marketplace sellers are a big part of who this is for. Products, customers and - where the platform allows export - order history come across. Etsy and eBay listings export cleanly, so your catalogue comes with you. Redirects are set up so your existing Google presence follows you to the new store.
